Please suggest in this case A worker injured in our factory (Cuts his Finger) in 2003 and our company was not covered in ESIC that time management given some amount to him and bear expenses of all treatment after some year company has been closed after one year company recruit him in another company and now he is blackmailing to company for giving compensation amount Rs one lacs against injured finger please suggest he can challenge to us in labour court on above ground

Can you confirm what is that some amount? Have management paid him as per Workmen compensation Act (Employees compensation Act). Workmen compensation need to be paid in the absence of ESIC, considering the loss of human body part and his age factor.
