Dear All, I have made a job change from one PSU to another. In this regard, I was offered Rs 23200/- as basic pay which is in E-2 Grade (Rs 20600/-) with 3 increments @ 3% per year. The same has been mentioned in my appointment letter too. But while joining my new company where Pay Revision has been implemented, they have denied to pass on the 3 increments which were offered to me.
When I inquired about the same, they said that the 3 increments will be passed on as an when my previous company implements Pay Revision. and all the money will be given as arrears. Can you please throw light on the above mentioned subject.
Thanks & regards,
S Das

In this case, the pay fixation in the new PSU need not wait for the wage revision of the old PSU as the matter could be resolved by fixing you at the revised scale by reckoning your assured basic pay (i.e., E2 scale + three increments) and using the pay fixation formula to arrive at the new basic pay. If there are employees in your new PSU who were getting in pre-revised E2 grade three increments, you can insist on being given same treatment. In case they are going to await the revision in the earlier PSU, are they going to protect your pay or is it going to be in any way advantageous to you. If it is not so, which is most likely, you may press for revision on the basis of the pay revision formula as above.

Thank you KK!HR for your reply.
On your suggestion, when i approached our HR Dept, they said like since on 01 Jan, 2017, I was an employee of an organisation where pay revision has not been implemented so i will not be eligible for pay revision benefits although pay revision has been implemented in my newly joined organisation. I was offered Rs 23200/- in my appointment but I got my Pay slip with basic pay of Rs 50000/-
Is there any scope of pay fixation further?

Going by what your present organisation is saying, you can hope for refixation after your pay is fixed by the earlier PSU. What is the position of pay fixation there?
