Hi, I'm very confuse about one clause of our appointment letter. As per the appointment letter of our company clause "Your services would be eligible for confirmation appraisal at the end of the probation period." Shall we increase salary of employees after confirmation.
From India, Patna
In this clause not mention of any increment ... its depicts your confirmation of job only if found suitable after evaluation on completing probation period.

This clause speaks of confirmation appraisal for suitability to retain employee as permanent.
Review of work-technical,behavioural parameters and other relevant factors which are important from company point of view -will be done by suitably placed persons above the employee in question.

Dear Yasmin, Yes, on satisfactory completion of probation, along with confirmation of service, annual increment is drawn where the probation period is one year or more, that is the industry-wide practice.

Dear colleague,
To hold Appraisal interview prior to confirmation, is commonly followed industry practice.
As regards granting increment post confirmation is left to the policy and differs from company to company. However, increments are granted annually post performance evaluation.
