Please check your company manpower with that defined as minimum manpower for applicability of the standing orders rules to your state. No state rules permits probation period of one year.

Dear colleague,
In Establishments/Factories coming within the preview of Standing orders Act, the probation period prescribed is for 3 months for 'workmen' category. But the practice prior to this Act was for 6 month's probation which has continued unchallenged.
For Non-workmen category(Supervisory/Executives/Managers) the probation is fixed by each organisation as deemed fit and varies from generally 6 month's to 12 months.
