Some of the best ways to build up positive and healthy relationships are:
• Take interest in people and people will take interest in you. This was stated by Dale Carnegie many years ago and is a universal principle that will hold true forever.
• Genuine concern, appreciation and praise always help cement relationships. Never miss an opportunity to express these to the others.
• Having a smile and a cheerful disposition always make you more endearing to others.
• Sparing time to meet, greet, and communicate with others is always a sure shot way of cultivating strong bonds with people.
• A friend in need is a friend indeed is an English maxim that has very deep connotation. Take the initiative to help out people and they will never forget your act of kindness.
• Avoid criticizing people. If you have to say something negative do it subtly by way of a suggestion and preferably precede it with some positive statement.
• Never lie to people. They will lose trust in you and regaining trust is extremely difficult.
