Hi, We are a IT consulting and staffing company, we have approx. 50 employee PAN India, we would like to know whether the act is applicable to us and if yes where and how do we register ourselves. Our employees are in Mumbai, Pune, Noida, Gurgaon, Chennai, B'lore and Hyd.

You have to see provision of applicability of the act vis-à-vis manpower of each state. If your manpower in the state exceeds the threshold manpower of the state for applicability, then the state act will be applicable to you.

Applicability of the act depends on the state also an establishment should engage 5 or more persons to be applicable for the labour welfare act (Note- excluding managerial, supervisory and contractor employees). For registration - Form A-1 (Challan-Cum-Return in Form A- 1) is to be deposited at the Labour Welfare Board.
