Dear All
Can any one help me out in knowing the actual no of days pf can be calculated or is the pf is being calculated for additional working hours or addition duties done apart from working all 31 days ( i.e. if a person has done some night duties in addition to the whole month working without taking any leave)
Example Can Pf be calculated for 33 days , if a person has worked all 31 days in October without taking any leave and has done 2 night shifts in addition to the 31 days worked.
Thanks and regards

as per wages act the working days can not exceed the calander days, any payment over it would be "overtime wages" which is included in ESIC but excluded in EPFO

you can process 30 / 31 days salary , and rest can be added as over time which will be entitled for ESIC deductions , not for PF

How can you show employee worked for beyond 31 days?
If any employee works for beyond 8 hours a day then excess time is to be considered as OT
Even to engage the employee under OT each & every state has its own set of rules as maximum number of Hours
Anything exceeding wages can be shown as OT only and you can excempt form PF

Dear Sir, For the purpose of PF amount deduction,it should be clear that
1) P F is deducted at the rate of 12% of the Basic salary + D A
2) Basic Salary should not be less than Min Wages granted by state government
3) Any employee can ask his employer to deduct more amount as per his wish to contribute with PF deduction as VPF
4) No share will be made by employer over VPF
5) Amount decided and agreed by employee is supposed as his Salary/Wages
6) Any other facility in terms of cash like Bonus ,Leave en cash,O T,Travel concession,Gratuity etc is not counted as a part of salary ,so not included for the purpose of PF amount deduction.
7) Now very soon PF deptt.may issue a login password for self generation of UAN by employer.

Additional days are treated as OT (Over time) and does not fall under PF.
