What is the record need to maintain in company for expired employee Eg: resignation letter? kindly advise in this case urgently?

Dear HR professionals,
One of our employee (Driver) worked till Sep 11 2016. from 12th sep 2016 onward not coming due to on 11th he argued with the night security people and stop coming to organization. His last pf contribution paid on october 2016. He was not submitted resigntion letter till date. on last sunday he met with the accident and wednesday passed away. seems to be his pf contribution not paying from the month of november. Is he is going to eligible for EDLI.
And please let me know any thing he will get from ESIC also pls guide.
Please guide me in this regard and do the needful.
