I work for a software development company. I need to recruit some experienced candidates for the position of PHP Developer. For that purpose I require to conduct a programming (coding) test which (this is the 1st round of the interview process in our company) would help me to evaluate the overall knowledge and skills of the candidate.
Can anyone please guide me through this as to what kind of tests should I conduct or from where can I get those tests?

There are many Web-based Technical evaluation services available for a host of skills, including PHP--just google.
Quite a few of them are free OR free for the initial usage.
In fact many such evaluation services don't even need the candidates to visit your office to take the Test(s). They take it @ home & the Results get mailed to you by the Provider.
