Hi I have planned to procure a flat for which i would want to withdraw my PF amount. I have completed 7 years of service in the this organzation and my total pf balance is around 3 lakhs (including both employee and employer contribution). Now is it possible for me to withdraw 2.5 lakhs from my account.

You will be able to withdraw For purchase of site: 24 month’s basic wages and DA/for purchase of house/flat/construction: 36 month’s basic wages and DA
OR
Total of employee and employer share with interest
OR
Total cost.
Whichever is least

You should withdraw the PF amount only when you don’t have any job for more than 2 months and you are not going to get a job. According to the rules you can’t withdraw PF amount within 2 months of leaving the service. Although in certain condition you can get the PF amount immediately after leaving the job. Even, if situation arises you can take loan from the EPF account.
