Hi As per my understanding, Leave rules e.g. eligibility of different type of leave is different in different states. Then how to draft leave policy for a Pan India company? Thoughts & Guidance pls.

As mentioned by Gawree if your establishment is covered under S&E Act, please go for the highest one across India. The Act describes the minimum entitlements and there is no limit for maximum entitlements.

It's better to adopt the stipulations as in the Shops & Estt. Acts of the respective states to avoid any violations per se. If you find leave days are varying too much by comparison U can consider balancing/regulating wherever there are wider diff. by adjusting in holidays list without infringing the compulsory holidays declared by the respective states year to year.
