Dear Rana, As per Punjab Labour Welfare Act you must have deductions for all the employees whether u have 04 or more than that employees. This is the mandatory field for HR. Regards

Dear Bhagat, Thank you! But actually we were only 3 employees in our corporate office, located in Gurgaon. Then also LWF is compulsory???? Through some sources I came to know that if staff is less then 4 then LWF is not necessary! Please do let me know your openion once again.

The Punjab Labour Welfare Fund Act,1965 has been adopted by the State of Haryana on its reorganisation. The Act is applicable to the factory, shop or a commercial establishment employing TEN or more employees.Every employee shall contribute ten rupee per month to the Fund and every employer shall, in respect of each such employee, contribute twenty rupees per month to the Fund.The rates of contributions, required to be made under section 9, have been revised from rupees five & ten, by the Haryana Legislature, by a notification dated 11 April 2012.
