i was unemployed.now i joined a company in 2012 .so my question is
1) whether i am eligible to apply for withdrawal of provident fund money( idont wish to transfer to my present company)?
2) Recently EPFO has decided to give UAN ( universal account number) to all its member . so does UAN will be given for the provident fund account of the company which i have left?
3) now currently my company has provident fund trust so does UAN will also be given to provident fund trust?

Since you are now working again, you can not withdraw the PF amount.
It needs to be transferred to the new company.
The PF Form for withdrawal quiet clearly says that you are not working for xx number of months.
So to withdraw, you need to give a false declaration.
Further, in the new company you will again need to give a false declaration that you do not have any existing PF account.

Hi
PF can either be trasferred to the new organization or withdrawn.
Incase you are not willing to get it transferred you are allowed to withdraw the entire amount leading to the closure of your PF account.
Incase this happens please make sure you open another PF account. Reason being PF account is a saving account ...the money that you save here is not taxable over the years whatever amount you save will only help you later and the saveed amount isn't taxable as long as it is in PF account.
Once out of PF account iot becomes taxable.
Hence please make sure that you do HAVE a PF account..
Thanks!
