i want to about holiday policies. this year 26th jan (republic day) fall on sunday and some employees work on that day. Now they demanding for holiday on some other day.when i discussed with my my boss, he refused to provide holiday on another day as per company policies. so kindly suggest me if it is possible to provide holiday to some another day in haryana (india)

By making your employees work on a National Holiday without prior permission, is a grave error on your part.
The company is liable to pay twice the salary for the day as well as a compensatory off.
