Have any procedure to Convert Direct Employee from Contract Employee ?
Our Company assign some contract Employee for a particular project & company deduct their PF(Employee Share) from their wages even company contribute Employer share & paid total contribution & updated EPF portal through online. Now the company project is end & our company recruited permanent employee from those contract employee. In that case when I will create ECR (Electronic Challan Cum Return-EPF) , should I change employee type. Because I have created previous ECR employee type as Contract employee for this particular employee.

Hi,
As per my understanding you need to have the contract employees resign first and hire them again with new Date of Joining and separate Employee Numbers which needs to be updated as Permanent employee in the EPF website, with this they will get new PF number also.
W.r.t the PF amount they can transfer the amount under contract employee to permanent employee after 60 days of Last Working day or they can also withdraw the amount.
