Dear fraternity,
Can any one please clarify, if employee denies taking the increment letters/denies to acknowledge the increment letters what kind of steps HR can initiate? Pls clarify.

Issuing a copy of performance incentive/increment to an employee is a mode of communication to inform him, it is not an approval being sought. The action needs to be completed if apparently there is no other genuine reason to deny like ...grave lapse in the procedure, wrong interpretation of any of the policy term or any clear victimization (this can be supported if the rating is drastically lower than previous year). Else, “I have been rated lower than what I deserve” is the universal feeling and it is normal.
Though, it is advisable to at least have one session of counseling to such employee to listen to him and no genuine concern is found convince him to accept.

Hello Nageswar,
This topic was discussed quite a few times earlier.
Being an old member, you could done 'Research' & found-out for your self.
Here's the research Link for the earlier Threads--I am sure you will find many suggestions & the possible action-plans for the situation you are now into--take your pick.

If however, you still have any SPECIFIC query AFTER perusing thru the threads, you can then post the query/queries for the members to suggest/respond.

Thank you Mr. Shailesh for your comments, The one to one session is also not fruitful, Hence what could be the action plan? Can we process his salary with revised one or the previous one only? Can't we take any kind of disciplinary action against to the employee?
In this process of distributing the letter & accepting the letter is the line manager's responsibility as the line manager only rates & gives the revision. is this appropriate?

Why employee is not accepting increment letter? Have you invited the employee for a one - on - one meeting

Dear Nageswar
You shall go ahead with processing of salary with revised one. The action of employee does not call for any disciplinary action. This is an emotional reaction, will get subside with time.
