Hi everyone,
I am working as Executive-HR in a Manufacturing company where i my role involves also to look after GPTW activities related to my company. Right now there is no much of GPTW stuff going on but I just wanted to know What activities one need to carry out about GPTW and where does it reflect whether that activity has been effectively done or not?
I need everybody's practical insights in this subject.
Regards,

Dear Franidhar,

If it's a manufacturing set-up you need to look at the availability of basic infrastructures for all class of employees. You need to introduce such HR activities by which employees feel belongingness for their employer and love working with them. The best idea is to ask your employees, I am sure there would be some ideas which may be implemented immediately and some could be looked into. The Great Place to Work (GPTW) idea is just simple when employee tells proudly to others what he feels about working in his Organisation. It may be good or bad. But in tells you where do you stand.

You may probably start doing simple employee engagement activities, it could be very small or big. Wishing birthdays (personalised sms may be sent), anniversaries, small b'day celebration, regular training and its feedback, farewell, new employee welcome, flexi-working hours, festival celebration; small applause or prize for a long tenure such as five years term, in-house magazine, inviting contribution for magazine, celebration of annual day are among those activities which attract and engage employees.

Warm regards,
