Dear all,
We are planning to open 1 branch in Bangalore, which comes under Karnataka shop establishment also Professional Tax applicable there.
I want to know about entire Professional tax from starting(registration) till end.
if salary is more than 15000k then 200 is applicable.
My question: is 200 deduction from employee side only or is there any amount which has to be given by employer side also.
Can we show 200 part of CTC Breakups?
Process for registration
Regards,

Dear Murnal Tambe,
The slab rate mentioned by you pertaining to tamil nadu rates not for bangalore. In india Tamilnadu & Kerala only permits to remit the PT in once in six month to department. Other states PT needs to remit on monthly basis to department.
Aside to Kunal,
You need to register If your quantam of member more than 20 in that branch. Other wise not require to register under Establishment.
Regards,
Ashok.

Dear Ashok Ji,
Its great and thanks for this update.
As you said, registration not required as we are just opening with 8 sitters there in bangalore. Now my question is: we have to deposit PT part but how and how much for bangalore employee earning more than 15000K per month, will be very helpful for me if you brief the process.

Dear All,
Thanks for sharing such valuable information on professional tax. Would like to add a few questions from my side for solution:
I know that PT is imposed at state level and is deducted by the employer each month and sent to concerned municipal corporation. Now my question is what is the benefit of paying professional tax and the process to deposit the amount to municipal corporation. Also, is PT applicable in Delhi? pl give your feedback on this too.
