I wanted to understand if leaves are to be mandatorily calculated on Calendar year basis as per the rule or can a company opt for financial year accounting on leaves. I did go through the Karnataka Shops and Commercial Establishment Act for this purpose. However, i could not locate any such information therein(not sure if there is any amendment to the Act). I would really appreciate if anyone can provide me the relevant link or any updated information on the same.
