Greetings
We would like to discontinue services of one of the consultant who is rendering his services to our company.
He is one among the senior persons but due to some internal financial crisis within company, we would like to discontinue his services as a part of cost cutting/ economy.
So i am suppose to issue a letter in the best polite manner i can stating him to leave the organisation with reference to the above mentioned.
So i would really appreciate if some one can help me out with a format of letter for the same.

You were engaged as Consultant in our organization for giving your expert advice on_______(mention the matter on which giving the consultancy). But in view of unavoidable circumstances we are not in a position to continue your association with our organization and are dispensing your consultancy services w.e.f._______
You are requested to submit your final bill for the services rendered. We do hope to have your expert services in coming future

1) Check his consulting/employment agreement
2) After validating the terms and conditions, use a template from this forum and customize it to your needs
3) Prior to issuing the letter, my recommendation is to have a joint meeting with his senior and let him know verbally the route you intend to take
4) If he doesn't offer his resignation, issue the letter.
