This matter needs some sort of further discussion as there is another side to the coin of conveyance reimbursement.
The conveyance reimbursement rates are to be fixed not only by taking into account the cost of fuel but also the cost associated with the wear and tear arising due to the usage of vehicle for company's work i.e. vehicle maintenance cost. Therefore, the basis for any increase in the conveyance reimbursement rates should be linked to these two factors. I will be interested in knowing if any of our HR professionals could clarify as to how these two factors are built in the conveyance reimbursement rates adopted in their companies.
