Dear All,
I am working in Qatar for the last 4 months aftering being there in india for around 10 years in hardcore HR functions. I request you to give feedback on SAP HR module esepcially on "How to Add a New employee" in SAP. In my company, we are following the steps below:-
Step- 1 - Create Position in PO13>organisational management>OM>Maintain position
Step- 2- Hiring employees in PA40(Personnel Action)
My doubt
  • Presently, if 100 persons are joining as Architect, we will create 100 positions in SAP. Each unique position (100 created) will be assigned to a unique person (of 100 architechts)
  • We assign position to cost centers too
  • It seems that it is a time consuming process - creating 100 positions and assigning new hires under that position one by one
Can anyone suggest what is the best practice in adding new employee in SAP and also how positions are created.
I hope implementing SAP needs a lot of thinking and creativity
