Flatter me, and I may not believe you. Criticize me, and I may not like you. Ignore me, and I may not forgive you. Encourage me, and I will not forget you. -William Arthur Ward, college administrator, writer (1921-1994)

Dear Avs,
Thanks for sharing.
The quote recalls one of Carnegie Courses.
QTE
"Try honestly to make the other person feel important, and do it sincerely.?
- Dale Carnegie
Become genuinely interested in other people - Smile
Be a good listener - Encourage others to talk about themselves
Talk in terms of the other person's interests
Make the other person feel important - and do it with sincerity
UNQTE
Therefore, no flattery, no criticism, no ignorance, but encourage to others is the best way.
Best regards,
John

How amazingly true !
If I can interpret with my own equivalents then the actions are
Flatter – Exaggeration
Criticize- Unjust
Ignore- Insult
Encourage – Develop.
Obviously the first three are out, leaving the fourth as the sole winner.
As usual a nice one from Mr AVS,
