Each State has different rules, fee etc. You have to get the establishment register in every state where it is situated. Best wishes jpratap

Dear White Eagle
The Principal Employer has to obtain the Registration Certificate on location wise and not even statewise. If you have 10 different work in one location then you have to obtain 10 Registration Certificates for all the works.
That means every premises must have their own Registration Certificate, and while applying they must mention the names of the Contractors who are those being engaged for performing the work at the premises.

Dear Eagle,
Although Labour Acts are enacted by Central Government but only the "appropriate government" implement them. Look for the definition of 'appropriate government' in the relevant Acts.

Dear Sir,
For engaging Contract Labour, the Principal Employer as well as Contractor have to obtain Contract
Labour Licences from concerned State Govt. Labour Department.
For each state, seperate licences have to be obtained.
Even in one state, the PE as well as contractor have to get contract licences for individual Factory
Contract.( i.e If two factories are functioning for PE and two different Factory contract works are
available to the Contractor)

Hi all,
I am agreeing with Baskar and would like to add more.
You have to mention the contractor's name in the RC(registration
certificate). Your contactor may not be the for all the Units. So, in that case also, you required separate RC's for even for nearest Units.
Thanks.
