Hi,
I am eligible for Rs.15,000pa medical reimbursement. I have submitted bills but the company has paid me Rs.1250 X number of months lapsed for this year and will pay the rest @ Rs.1250 per month. Since the amount says Rs.15,000pa on the salary breakup provided to me, shouldn't i get the full amount when i claim in the middle of the year?
Please advise,
Regards,

It depends on the company policy & it differs from company to company. Normally at the end of year they will pay the entire amount on submission of bills or else they will deduct the IT amount in the absence of bills and pay. In some companies they will pay Rs.1250/- every month and at the end of year if the employee submits the bills they will accept or else they will deduct the IT amount from the salary.
They might have experienced the difficulty in recovering from some employees who might have claimed entire amount in one shot and might have resigned hence they may be paying @Rs.1250/- pm, till you are getting your amount it is ok or else you can claim on completion of year so that you can the entire amount in one shot.

Dear Kamesh,
As you said that companies give 1250 p.m as medical Reimbursement. My situation is same. So my question is that what will be the percentage of IT deduction for Medical Reimbursement.? Whether its compulsory to produce Bills to save IT?
Thanks & Regards
