i am posting my answers to your queries...
Performance management system is the appraisal system for the periodic evaluation of performance of executives which is based on 360 degree feedback mechanism ie feedback of self, peers, subordinates & superiors. The difference between performance management & performance appraisal is that former is based on continuous feedback while latter is just evaluation of performance without any post or prior feedback. Emerging concepts are quality of work life, job enlargement & rotation, 360 degree feedback.
