1. What is the difference between INCIDENT REPORT AND NEAR MISS ACCIDENT REPORT.

2.According to OHSAS Standerd or Factory act What is the time duration of submitting INCIDENT REPORT AND NEAR MISS ACCIDENT REPORT to the management..

3.9 Incident
Work-related event(s) in which an injury or ill health (3.8) (regardless of severity) or fatality
occurred, or could have occurred.
Note 1:
An accident is an incident which has given rise to injury, ill health or fatality.
Note 2:
An incident where no injury, ill health, or fatality occurs may also be referred to as a “near-miss”,
“near-hit”, “close call” or “dangerous occurrence”.
Note 3:
An emergency situation (see 4.4.7) is a particular type of incident.

Near miss means something was above to happend ..but not happend .. just like you may above to fall or you just missed from a falling object like that.

where in the case of incident is concerned person may suffered with injury or a fatal accident.

in both of the cases we can learn and rectify any pitfalls or loops in our current system.

but the thing is number of near misses can leads to incident or accident .

its better to take a good steps to prevent at the time of near mis' kind of situation.

near mis can give a chance to learn but in the case of incident person has to suffered.

an un wanted situvation or event araise like machine malfunction ( it may leads to accicent ) u may fine out the malfunction on time ( by warning or something like ) and rectify it and allow the machine to work in normal condition.
u have to consider this also as a " NEAR MISS ".
