Thanks for the information.
We have to declare PAID HOLIDAY for election dates, since it has been declared paid holiday under NI Act.
The same has been vetted with Inspector of factories, they also advised to declare holiday.

Dear Mr.Devarajan Applicable to factories and Shops & Establishments also. Majority of the Educational institutions are used as election booths, hence it is applicable. R.Palaniswamy
