Dear All,
I was wondering if there is any "scientific forumla" to calculation incentives to be paid to employees?
How to arrive at particular figure for incentive payout? It would be great if anyone shares the incentive calculation methods.
Thanks in advance!

Dear Manish,
As such you work in software company. Therefore, what incentives are applicable for manufacturing industry do not apply to you.
As far as incentives to sales persons are concerned, these are more or less same. Any sale more than target will make salespersons eligible for higher incentive.
Please clarify what you want exactly?

Dear Manish,
When you raise questions you need to be more specific. What do you do and where (in which industry)? At what level, and in what function, do the employees work? What do you mean by incentives to be paid? Are you thinking of individual incentives or group incentives? I can go on asking questions, but I won't.
Please search the web and find out all about incentives as a concept and then pose precise questions and, I am sure, some experts will give you more details.
Have a nice day.

Dear All who has replied:
I am talking about a broad formula which has scientific base to calculate incentives. I am NOT talking about any industry, level, function specific.
I came across people who are not from HR(are from Engineering) background requiring "scientific" formula to arrive at incentive figure. They need something standard formula into which values are put the result is displayed.
Thanks
