I have to develop a training program for teachers (motivation, attitude and accountability towards students) & treating students with dignity. Can you please suggest what some books where in I can get material , video clips and ideas n sugesstions to design the entire program.
Its urgent, please do share your ideas.

Hi Rashi, There is a lot available out there - suggest we do some research on teh internet also a lot of bookstores these days have amazing stuff for the kids - lots of DVDs and books available - If you still lost then let me know and I could try my best to send you some material.

You have not given enough details; the word "Teacher" is very general. What age group students do they teach?

You have given a complex and challenging requirement. I have been associated with schools for a long time and i would like to give you some suggestions.
Fundamental Issues :: Things like Attitude, Accountability, Motivation depends on the environment created by the Management and the Principal. I have seen schools where the Principal actually chokes the freedom of the teachers, while in some places the Heads create a warm beautiful environment for the teachers and students to flourish and grow.
These are issues which are ongoing and are created by the atmosphere in the School.
THE WAY PRINCIPAL TREATS THE TEACHERS IS EXACTLY THE WAY TEACHERS WILL TREAT STUDENTS.
Coming to Training material. I would like to suggest some very good books i have come across>>
1. Positive Discipline by Jane Nelsen
2. Living, Loving, Learning by Leo Buscaglia
3. Discovery of a Child by Maria Montessori
4. Teachers Inspirational Handbook by Dr Elaine Charles
The last book is by Pauline Publications >> Pauline Books Media Cassettes VCDs ACDs
They have a lot of wonderful / inspirational books for teachers.
You can get a lot of training material / ideas from their books.
You will need to design your classes for the teachers based on the need/ problems / time schedule.
