Hi All,
My question is that most of the competency mapping in companies is done on the basis of behavioural competencies. But in the case of IT firms, they require technical competencies as well. So how do i design this?
Please help. Thanx.

hi zara,
we are consulting firm named Centre for Excellence in Organization Pvt Limited based at chennai, hyderabad, Bangalore, Haridwar, Malaysia, Indonesia and Dubai. We are rendering services across globe for CBM. Our approach involves identifying fundamental, leadership and functional competencies. We also conduct Certification Program on CBM through CII. Our clients for CBM are Vabag, Kobe Precision, Pepsico, Brakes India,etc...
Addressing to your need. For identifying the technical competencies our approach is undertaking task analysis wherein we would collect information in the following format
1. Department
2. Role
3. Role objective
4. Key deliverables
5. Responsibilities
6. Competency Identifcation
7. Knowledge
8. Application
While looking for technical competency we have to consider that roles do not overlap other roles.
