Dear Saba,

It's a good idea to request for a feedback after attending an interview. Please do understand that the recruiters may have other priorities as well. So make your communication graceful, thank them for considering you for the interview and share what you learnt during that interaction. In case any escalation or concern areas were discussed with you, do share how would you intend to trouble shoot it and any further knowledge up-grade, you are considering to make yourself right-fit for the role.

Moral of the story , do not just ask for a feedback but offer your learning and expertise in your mail.

Please make sure that you establish a professional relation with the organization and its recruitment team, irrespective of whether they offer you the role. Recruiters always remember the candidate who misbehaves or irritates them.

Hi Saba, when an interviewer says I'll call you later, or you may get a call from us etc., it's a polite way of saying that you're not shortlisted. Don't waste your time in following up and apply to other slots. Besties, Akshat

HI,

On my experience in recruitment over 4 years as a recruiter in Top branded companies. We were told by by companies i worked for was to not to react but to respond to the candidates.

For the candidate not to go disheartened or shattered when called for interview and not being shortlisted:
Jargon used for the candidates not shortlisted are :-

1."We shall get back to you".
2."We are in process of interviewing some more folks ,we will let you know results in due course".
3."Management have to take decision"

I may be wrong too,at times the resource is critical or requirement is to be closed soon, the company will get back in few days after keeping the candidate on hold. But having said that the candidate is not supposed to show a negative signs at any given point even when not being shortlisted,(this shows the true professionalism)may be the organization is too small, whom we dint wanted to meet we will meet them,so play safe.

So please learn the art of giving best interview ,and sell your self best.
Not to worry, experience on attending more and more intvs will give you the best out of your self.
