It all depends on how it is conducted and the content. I am sure price can be negotiated. Usually outbound is an expensive affair.

Hi
It has become a practice to give an impressive and suggestive name to lure the prospective participants and charge hefty amounts as participation fee. Instead they must prune expenses reduce pomp and show and charge a reasonable fee so as to encourage more people to participate and get benefit from such programs.

Dear Dr Vasudeva Reddy,

Prices of products or services always should be left to the market to decide. It is the competition that decides the pricing. May I remind you the famous saying "Everything is worth what its purchaser will pay for it" by
Publilius Syrus (~100 BC, a Latin writer of Maxims).

If some company is so confident of products or services, that company will never come down on price. Classic example is telecom major Airtel. Notwithstanding the low tariffs by other companies, this company has continued with the old tariff. Now whether this decision was right or wrong can be checked by scrutinising the balance sheet of that company. Hitherto they proved themselves right and the company is still head and shoulder above others. Will it remain in future also? It remains to be seen!

Another example is that of logistic major FedEx. Couple of years ago what local companies offered at Rs 400/- the same service FedEx offered for Rs 1,600/- But then local companies remained local and never became global. FedEx has grown considerably.

I think this platform must not be used to advertise. For advertisement, sidebars must be used on a nominal payment. If one is trying to make hefty sum out of the advertisement, why one should shy away from advertising. It is a shame that such lowly tactics are adopted to lure innocents to make big booty. However, if you want to disseminate concise free knowledge for benefit of the masses for free in social camps, one should be allowed and a separate thread be started for the same dedicated to this purpose. People will share their own expenses and it will be a greatest publicity. Who so ever will be interested, will join your regular stream. This platform must not be used to raise private profit.
