hi,
i would just like to answer the last part about your query.
it is definitely possible to reach at the top by being 100% ethical. it will take longer to reach there and it will be very difficult, but by persevering it is definitely possible. This is my personal experience.

Hi Khyat
Good to see this mail. From my point of view, yes! it is very important for a company to abide by their ethical standards and values. There is a lot of difference in doing right things and doing things in a right way. The company when start implementing the beauty of this difference i think will always be on the way to be ethically true and reliable. The company might in the beginning or in certain situtations could find some problems by taking such decisions which are ethically true but not in the interest of the management. But sooner or later this is the company which is going to make a difference. We have examples of big companies like Infosys, Wipro which are ethically doing the best (solely my perception) under the leadership of great business tycoons.
As far as the question of 100 % genuiness is concern, i feel nobody is perfect, everyone has a room for improvement. one should be ethical with respect to the controlling factors.
Hope i have answered you question a bit

Ethics just act as a guider to your decisions, it's on you how you take decisons on you moral background. for e.g. there is an Marketing guy who sales refrigerator in that area where the people doesn't even bother to prefer cool items but he is able to sell good nos of refrigerators , and for an REFRIGERATOR company, they will award that guy selling most numbers of refrigerators.
But keeping hand on his heart he should think wether he was right or wrong?
thus here he will take decisions on morale basis.
Hope nw u will be more clear abt ethical issues

Hi Khyat :
Thanks for asking this SILLY LOOKING QUESTION... !
Really, in todays tough competitive world - cut throat culture, speaking on Ethics may be considered as a MYTH !
But dear, remember the ever lasting saying - "TRUTH PREVAILS" !
The base of the Ethics in the organisation is based on the TRUTH -
Truthful behaviours by Board of Directors / Sr Excecutives / Managers / Employees / Suppliers / Financers and all towards the CUSTOMESRs!
My 3 decades+ of Industry / Coporate experience has tought me that - "FRANKNESS PAYS IN LIFE - EVEN IF THEIR ARE INITIAL SET BACKS OF HOLDING ON TRUTH / ETHICS !"
The classic examples of Corporate Ethics can be seen from the fact that mere 250 US $ initial capital INFOSYS has grown to a major name in the International Scene - not just because of it's service standards but following ETHICS OF BUSINESS & HUMANITY at all the time and not only printing as posters to be desplayed !
The recent call back by TOYOTA Cars and the statements made with apology to the world for the defective part in their cars by the top officials : is another example of following ETHICAL PRACTICES in the business.
There are number of examples in the organisational Ethical practices - what is important is the ORGANISATIONAL ETHICS are not only spoken during Inductions of the Employes and the ETHICS decorated in Frames - but visibly exhibitted by all WITH A "TOP - DOWN" examples!
It is true, that NO ONE IS 100 % perfect - but all our efforts needs to be towards achieveing that 100% mark - and we need not say that only GOD is 100% right !
So dear, reaching at TOP is a good aim - however that needs to be supported by KNOWLEDGE/ PASSION / S M A R T WORK / CONSISTANCY/ HUMILITY & OVERALL + ATTITUDE and last but not least way is ONLY BEING ETHICAL !
Hope, this gives you some additional inputs !
