Dear Sir, I am working in a Manufacturing company in that grace time is given for 5 minutes only. If the employees come after the grace time whether we can deduct the salary for late coming or not. Kindly give clarification on this issue.

Hi!
The answer to ur question is "yes" u can deduct the salary for late coming otherwise there is no use of having a time limit or grace period but at the same time there should be a monthly limit as well as for eg. 90 mins a month & 5 mins a day and after 5 mins if the employee is coming after 6 mins the salary would be deducted for 6 mins not 1 min. and same way u would calculate for a month and in a month if the employee has exceeded the limit of 90 mins in this case, you would deduct the salary for those mins.
Hope it will help..
