To avail the maternity benefit , the woman has to actually work 80 days in the twelve motnhs immediatly preceding the date of her expected delivery , as per Section 5 of the Maternity Benefit Act 1961.
The maximum period for which any woman shall be entitled to maternity benefit shall be 12 weeks .
Woman is also entitled to medical bonus of Rs.250=00 (Now it's amended to Rs.1000=00).
As per Karnataka Materrnity Benefit Rules 1966 , the woman shall give notice in Form D to the employer and after the payment to the employee , the employer shall obtain a receipt in Form E.
For proof of pregnecy / delivered of a child , woman shall submit certificate in Form B signed by appropriate medical authorities.
The aggrieved person can submit compalint to Inspector under this act in Form H.

Can anybody suggest me the whole cycle in maternity act i.e. where to start till end? what compliance should be done, to whom avail the maternity benefil, what are the forms fill in it. what wages should be give. i want to know the whole cycle. if anybody know pls suggest me in a convenient way pls.
