My Company has branches all over Tamil nadu including Chennai Also.
I need a clarification whether Tamil Nadu Shops and Establishment Act is applicable to all these branches or if i maintain records and registers at Chennai Corporate woulld be sufficient.

Dear Michael,
Every branch of your company should maintain registers individually. Interestingly, PT is also payable at these locations according to the respective slabs.

It is mandatory to register all your branches under Tamilnadu shops & establishments act and you have to maintain certain stautory records inaccordance to the act.
More over, you have to register profession tax for all branches seperatly since they are coming under jurisdication of different corporations. If you need any clarificating regarding this please mail me to:
