Dear Friends, In my recent interview, it is being asked to me that what are the two parameters of factory licence. When I heard this question, I was bit confused and could not able to answer to this. I made one mistake that, I should clear my doubt with my interviewer itself. After that I asked many people regarding this but found no reply.
Could any one please clear me about the two parameters of factory licence.

There are two basic things to be considered for issuing or renewing factory licence, viz, number of employees employed and total connected Horse Power of the machines installed at the factory, because it is on the basis of these the fees is decided. However, other issues like pollution certificate, sanitation certificate etc are other factors which have direct bearing on issuance of factory licence. I hope the interviewer had meant the first things.

The Licence should not taken with fradulent intention or by hiding the material facts. The plans of buliding & machinery should first get approved from the factory inspector. For licence two parameters are of number of persons & installed power capacity.e.g If number of persons employed is less than 10 with power licence will not be granted. In the same manner if number of persons is less than 20 without power licence will not be garnted.
Hope this shall be useful to the concerned friend
