Hi, I have a querry, my team size will cross 20 pretty soon...The lowest salary in our firm is INR 350,000 per anum..Our we required by law to go in for PF... Thanks Tarang

I have been working in a Pvt. Ltd. company from last 1.6 years, company's employee strength is more than 20. When I joined the company and inquired about the PF facility they told me they don't provide PF. My basic as per my appointment letter is 13500/- I wanted to opt for PF but as my employer said that they don't provide PF I had no other option but to accept the appointment as I was in need of a job at that time and also I was unaware of PF rules and laws. Now, one fine day I applied for a car loan for which I was required to present my salary slip and I came across this unusual figure that my basic as per my salary slip is 12000/-. The employer has still not given any satisfactory answer to me about this error.

Another day my employer distributed a form some thing related to PF and told us please will all your details who so ever is interested in obtaining PF we filled the form and submitted to our accountant. Now my query is am I entitled for PF whenever I leave this organisation ?

Also there have been many instances when my employer gave away some part of total salary in Cash. Is it really OK to give away some part of salary in cash? And last thing that I want to mention is I have to request for my salary slip time and again my employer is always hesitant in providing me my monthly salary slip. I have seen that on papers 6500/- been given to peons and guards as salary but actually they just receive not more than 3000/- what is this all about is their any kind of fraud going on to save TAX etc?

I will appreciate some of the experts here to please comment on this and provide me the exact rules and regulations.

Thanks

SIR,
Can any body say me about "INOPERATIVE P.F.Account" ? So far my knowledge the accounts of such emplotyees who have been retired/resigned/ Expired but has not withdrawn his P.F.ACCUMULATION since last three years , are called inoperative p.f.accounts. But if the Establishment is under suspension of work since last three years and the employees have not resigned then whether their P.F.ACCOUNT will be treated as "Inoprative Account".Please clearify it at earliest.
Thanking you,
M.K.HARSHA
