Hi Seniors,
some of employees has been fired or put pressure to resign due to the loss to the company with the negligence. they are not very old employees and dont bother to have the relieving letter. some of them have to clear their monetary dues and others have no dues but have not put formal resignation.
how do i close their file. as they have not sent resignation letter there is no question of issuing relieving letter. they are informally terminated so we dont want to send termination letter also.
what letter should i put in their file to indicate that these employees are no more working with us,
what is the letter for documentation for absconding employees.
expecting your valuable feedback
Regards,
Smita.

I think that's not fair Nisha. These employees were forced to resign or leave the job because of management negligence. Am not very much sure whether the management has given them any prior notice or not.

Smita if you close the file either as terminated or as absconded then this will reflect during the time of their reference check from some other company(May be in future someone else may take up your position and they reveal what's there in their files). You people are forcebly trying to pull their jobs - its ok might be because of ur company current situation but plz dont spoil their upcoming oppurtunities by close their files as terminated or absconded.

Inform all those employees either by phone or Mail that they have to submit their resignation letter in a day or two or else it will be automatically considered that they are either absconded or terminated and the same will be communicated at the times of their reference check. I think this is the better way of handling this situation.

Hi Malini,
i do agree that putting remarks like absconding or terminating will affect their future therfore we did not wanted to do that. we have asked those people to put their resignation but doesnot seems to be bothered much.
one more which i did not put correctly in my previous mail. they were forced to resign not because of our negligience. they have brought loss to the company due to their negliginence and lack of professionalism.
those who have put their resignation we have given the relieving letter. issues are with those having disputes and dues with us.
i invite more suggestion on this.
