Hi, Is it mandatory to give sick leave or casual leave to an employee apart from earned leave? Do we have any minimum number of leaves to be granted to an employee every year??

In our opinion, you are to adhere to the applicable Act & Rules. Minimum leaves are to be given to the employees as requirement of law & maximum leaves are to be declared by the employer at his own or under any agreement arrived at between the employees & employer. You have not mentioned the applicable state Rules. Statutory leaves are to be granted as per applicable law. You unit may be covered under Factories Act or State S&E law. Leaves are to be examined after finalization of the applicable Act.
