Hi,
There are so many myths, assumptions that people have about HR. HR is now emerging from its cocoon and taking different shapes everyday.
Imagine of an 'HR Revolution.' Let me know what do you think if would be like? If at all you could contribute towards the revolution what would that be to make this community more facinating. You could think of any contributions you could make in any of the HR fields like,
Resourcing
Performance Management
Ethics
Knowledge Management
And the list goes on..........

Hi soms
I think that the most revolutionary thing that could be done is implement the systems to attain the goals they hav ebeen designed for....
For example
Almost all the companies are having Appraisal systems... But in most of the companies it is not implemented correctly... I think it would be revolution in itself if we are able to implement the same correctly..... with the result that is expected of such systems...
That would be a revolution in itself...

Hi Soms
Nothing series, only thing is that we are not implementing what we started with a great fanfare...
Looking for new revolution, without implementing the older policies correctly is not a solution....
By the way... with internet creating new dynamics....
Specially in the IT and related industry
I think that in future, the companies might have virtual offices, with people working from their home, instead of from office... [in my previous company, we had couple of home offices handled by the area representatives from the home, and they were on the full time payroll]
That might become a challenge in itself as though it may bring down the overhead costs, at the same time, maintaining the correct output would be quite difficult.

Hi,
If I could change one thing in the field of HR, it would be,
Recognition and Good Reward to the Right People in HR
i have noticed this in so many places, that there will be a person in the HR dept for quite some time and immediately to fill some top position in the HR dept. there will be a person from Marketing or Systems. Many times the people considered less productive would be transferred to the HR dept. with a senior designation.
If i could do anything about this, I would bring about a change here. Only the right person who from the start is working in the HR dept would be recognised and encouraged for better positions.
Do let me know if you could change one thing in the field of HR, what would that be?
