Probably Most of the Hindus knows these facts but nobody wants to talk about it fearing, this will spoil the country's social harmony. But they have to come out of their comfort zone sooner or later or else...........

for things to be enjoyed - 'apna' law - 4 marriages, unlimited children, minority rights etc
for things not be enjoyed (legal punishments) - no 'apna' (shariyat) law !
can there be bigger double standards ?

Dear Friends,

The uniqueness and philosophy of secularism of India is outstanding because of Gory History India has saw.. India is not about only one religion as it is ruled by several religions from time to time and hence after 1947 it is not of any one religion, pls aprechiate this fact.

At the time of independence when the idea of partition came on the basis of religion only, it was very imp to show the world that India is secular, democratic country and hence India adopted the policies favourable for the minorities... what is wrong in this.. are we at loss today... Sachar Committee is the proof that we have not still successful to uplift the minority..

We young people should forget all the animosities on the basis of religion and look forward to build modern India, India without poverty, illiteracy, with scientific temper and should not keep on dragging the issues which are no where related to upliftment common man...

So far as Muslim Law is concerned it is very modern law. The idea of only 4 marriages that too with conditions is developed by Islam only. The idea of monogamy in Hindu law only came in 1955 prior to that a hindu can do as many marriages he wishes to do.

The Muslim law has the provision of right of females on fathers property since inception but hindu law appreciate it only in 2005.

So who modernises first is any body guess..

What i believe that religion is CURSE on humanity if we all try to demean each others reilgion.
