Dear Peeyusha ji,
If any employee absent on Sat & Monday this will attract an EL and Sunday will be exempted. So twodays EL will be deducted. - IT IS IN GENERAL Leave rules. But its purely depending up on industry to industry as per leave procedures.

Malikji is perfectly right, as usual.
This is the legally-compliant policy adopted by good companies and PSU's.
However, many private sector companies, especially those who are small and family run; and which do not have employer-friendly policies, follow the method as posted by Mr. Ponraj, to extract as much benefit as possible.
