The esi deduction is on the basic hra conv and other allowances of the employees and is 1.75%. The employer contribution is 4.75 of the gross salary of the employee. When u remit the amount thru challan it has to be rounded off to the rupee. The round off should be done by adding the diff of paisa in employer contribution. For PF it is 12% if employee basic. But the employer contribution is limited to 6500/- basic. In case of the employee convered under ctc the deduction and contribution should be equal. The adminstrative charges , edli contribution and admin on edli contribution are paid by employer

Hi,
This renganayaki.I am goingto field work in this area.so i tell some keys:
on ESI Employee contribution:1.75%
Employer contribution:4.75%
on PF Employee contribution :12%(basic+DA)
Employer contribution:12%.in this contribution 8.33% go to Employee Pension Scheme.only 3.67 goto PF.sototal PF contribution is 15.67%.
