OSR,
I am attaching an article which I have prepared on the basis of the feedbacks I got from various recruiters. I have also tried to provide some snapshots from original resumes and tried to highlight the mistakes which we used to make while applying for any job.
I hope you'll like it.
Thanks
Gunjan

:-DGunjan, the post is filled with good informaton for anyone that is drafting and preparing a resume. For the novice, this is a good tool that will help them present themselves in a positive manner to a company, organization or recruiter.
People should take quality time to prepare the resumes/CV for it is the key that will unlock the door to getting a face to face interview. Most don't put stock into it, they think that it is just another piece of paper..
Appreciate you sharing some great informaiton.:icon10:

Dear Gunjan!!!! You are on the point and thanx a lot. I would like to add one more and make it a dozen - AVOID CLISHES. One gets really sick reading ad- nauseum repeated phrases like "I will leave no stone unturned .... " as though he is applying for stone cutter's job. While attempt to market self one may overdo in most of the cases, but understatement and candidness also make interesting reading.

Dear All,
Thanks a lot for appreciating my efforts. I am happy to see such a gr8 response.
Well, these are only those points which I consider to be blamed for disqualifying resumes, but there might be something more beyond this.
I am keen to know if anyone of you has to add on something.
Any other reason for rejections, which you can share with us.
Regards
Gunjan

Hi Prashant,
Thanks for highlighting a new point.
I do agree that sometimes people pretend to be on a high note and use exaggerated quotes and statements, hi-fi objectives. Though such things dont get the reviewer's attention.
nice one
thanks
