I am Swathi, a new member to this forum..I am doing PHD in management sciences and my topic of research is "Bechmarking practices in IT industry" and I want to go ahead with this reserch on bechmarking of HR practices in IT Industry.Pls help me gain an insight into this topic.

Dear sir,
Thank you very much for your prompt reply.Actually I have searched the CiteHr and could not find much information on the topic"bechmarking of HR practices in IT Industry".
I am also confused with how to select the benchmarking partner(from among the many top companies in IT like IBM,WIPRO,INFOSYS etc., ).Do we have to have only one company which is to be taken as the role model(Benchmark) and then compare our processes with that of the role model company.please suggest..

1) How can we decide whether a practise is best or not..For eg we have the recruitment practice in both Infosys and Satyam and both are the best in their own way.So now how do we decide which companys practice is the best and consider it as benchmark.
2) Also let know if we have any organisation or surveys which give us the list of organisations which can be taken as benchmark organisaions for the studies on benchmarking.
