Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act 1946 is a central legislation and is applicable to any industrial establishment employing more than 50 workmen.
However if an organization's manufacturing establishment is covered by the Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, it does not automatically get extended to the organization's establishment anywhere if they are covered under the local Shops & Comm. Establishments Act
Circulars are prepared and circulated for interdepartmental information. Memo is issued for erring employees. Warning letter and show cause notice are being issued for irregular workers/employees.
