what Im trying to do is to rename the position to insure distribution of grades.
another question please, any HR have any idea about the deference between Managing director and General manager?
any body has a tree of both of them or more? about my organization : group of plants and factorys managing through one managment. there are levels and standards, not all divisions at same levels.

Hello Assil,
I think your query lacks details. It's too general in nature.
Hence the lack of any response.
Suggest you post more details about the organisational structure, the present designation pattern, etc.

Dear Assil,
Organisation depends on system not on the basis of salary or experience,
what you can do in the chart that graded accountant-1,2,3,4,5....... on the basis of salary ranges or you write acccount senior name first then junior . and general manager always report to MD ,please see the attached Organisation chart.

Your query is genuine. Many organisatios do not have line digrams or boxes to show their hierarchy. That is generally decided by the authority, work, output that flows from respecive position. In this case, you may be saddled with two Accountants drawing different levels of remuneration. My view is if you identify their job descriptions, job profiles and co-relate with basic minimum qualification, I think you would be safely able to justify your action of giving their new "nomenclatures".
As regards Managing Director & General Manager, again this is confusing. In some countries, General Manager is higher in rank than MD. But in our side of geography, MD is supposed to be the "Top Boss" reporting to the investors/shareholders. There could be no. of GMs reporting to him in resepctive fuctions like HR, FInance, Marketing, Production, Interantional Distribution and so on.So here also if you have proper job description with authority mandates from the investors, you would be able to differentiate between the two positions. To my knowledge, under the regulations in Middle East, position of MD is statutory and enjoys lot of statutory powers, authorities & responsibilities than that of GM. Please check.
Please write to me in case you want to interact with me more on this and other related topics. My e mail id is , . Please feel free to call me at +91 9822394170. Regards & wish you ALWAYS the best!!!

Hello Every one,
This is Pavan recently joined CiteHr...
I would like to throw some light on the below query
**Quote**
Any HR have any idea about the deference between Managing director and General manager?"
**unquote** The difference b/w Managing is Director & General Manager is quite simple
The Managing Director is none other than the owner of the company, if the company is a pvt company, sometimes in Govt. companies he is also an employee..performing assigned duties & responsibilities.
The General Manager will be taking care of whole department like Head of the Department in the college...Managing director is the owner/Principal of the college..
I hope you are clear with the explaination..Please send your reviews suggestions to me...
Have a Nice Day.
Thanks/Regards
