Hi Everyone,

I read this article and thought - you'd like readitng it too.

The Hindu : Metro Plus Chennai / Gender : It Boyles down to image

Its about Susan Boyle - the lady who made the whole world think - Is she ugly, or "We" are ugly with our thoughts.

This made me realize that you need not be someone - to show the world that you have a great talent within you! All it takes is the push and determination within you to step out and "do" what you do the best.

It need not be a song! It need not be a dance! It need not be a designer outfit! Or it need not be flashy statements!

All it takes is - just be yourself.

You may be an ordinary person, living a simple life, having a simple job - and you may think what difference you can make - think it over again.
Are you Ordinary? Are you doing a simple job? No - You know how to add that spice and magic to your work and your life.

Imagine if you are looking at stars in the night. From one angle - you see that a few starts are shining much brighter than the others. When you move to another angle - you see that a few other stars shine much brighter. . . . lifes like that and we are like those stars. Each of us have a unique talent in which we shine much brighter than the others.

Don cover your spark with "under estimation of self"

You are Good in what you do - and you will prove it each time you do!

Hi Ash,
I have gone through with the article and it authentically rippled me from inside. Seriously, we all should evaluate the people from its attributes, skills, its sophistication, an outer appearence can cheat or can bluff, but the qualities which one possess should never be overlooked.
Now, if we say this is the biggest trend of life, due to which people always gets cheated so, it is of immense relevance to have a proper prospective and should always perceive by putting our feet in another person's shoes.
and thx for sharing such a wonderful article which bolster one woman bostion.
Regards,

Thank you Rachna and Suchi!!!
:-)
Guys did you go through the You tube video? That is really wonderful - see the expression on the face of the judges - like how they react initially and how they feel at the end when she - finishes her song!

Its abosolutely true Rachna.... Most of us - tend to evaluate based on appearance.
Never to deny this - when someone appears in front of us - we already have "an unknown" justification of that person created in our mind and we tend to see from that angle...
But Susan Boyle- just made all of us feel that - we were wrong atleast once in our life in justifying someone without takin a look at the talent!
That video - made me also feel, that somewhere, even I might have not noticed a great talent. . . Recruiters - we need to see this video.
Thanks Rach!

My observation all the HR in BPO are mostly girls with only appearance and no brains.
In all Sony Tv and Indian Television channels you can see the big big singers like Anu Malik and party giving points on the basis of appearance.
Actually one thing I should tell if Susan would have been in India never she would have got chance to display her skills :no:
And its a nice thing that you people realised this thing which I realised long time ago may be some 2-3 years ago I realised that beauty is much much more than skin deep,
Nice job done by asha to educate the wandered Citehr members.
Will view the video at home.

Asha,
Thank you very much for sharing this. Though I live in UK, I had missed the programme. It's really an eye opener. I had seen some news clips but not cared much about them.
Have a nice day.

Brilliant post and an eye opener for those who are biased for beautiful and not so beautiful people.
There's nothing ugly made by God but it's us who see things differently and in our perception.
Thanks for sharing.

Asha... I must thank you... in my busy schedule at office… somehow I could take out time in between and have seen your posting.... I have read the complete article...wow.. it was so good asha, It made me sit back and think about ME and MYSELF... And I could see my inner self connecting to me easily..
Nice article... worth reading... Looking forward to watch the video (cant open at office)
Keep rocking Asha!!!
At the end I say... We have no option of selecting our life before we are born...but we have options in how to lead our life and do what WE want to do....whether its India or UK..
And Ravi I also agree with you on the Anu malik and team's decision... but the point doesn’t stop at only them, its about all of us……… and at least susan will be an idol for many in the world..

shocking that still some educated people dont know whats real beauty and whats not, and I am always drowned in spiritual desires rather than material desires god save this world.
